Find out more about us

Founded in 1919, Combat Stress is the UK's leading charity specialising in the care of Veterans' mental health. We have supported more than 100,000 ex-Service men and women of every campaign that British forces have been involved in since the First World War.

We have a current caseload of more than 5,900 Veterans, including 971 who served in Afghanistan. Our youngest Veteran is just 19 years old.

What we do at Combat Stress

Combat Stress provides a dedicated service for UK armed forces Veterans whose lives have been shattered by the horrendous things they saw, heard and smelt while serving their country. Our services are not routinely available in the NHS or elsewhere.
