The Enemy Within Appeal

In March 2010 our Patron HRH The Prince of Wales launched The Enemy Within Appeal on behalf of Combat Stress. 

This three-year campaign is designed to help us treat the escalating number of psychologically injured Veterans who are turning to us for help. We set out with three clear aims:

  • Enhancing clinical treatment at our three short-stay residential centres and providing access to specialist clinical support in the community

  • Raising awareness of the plight of Veterans with mental health injuries

  • Encouraging Veterans and their families to seek help earlier: it currently take 13 years from Service discharge
