Gardening Leave

Gardening Leave is a charity, founded by Anna Baker Cresswell in accordance with plans by Combat Stress to develop the scope of therapeutic activity for Veterans with PTSD and other mental health problems.

Gardening Leave oversees horticultural therapy projects for Veterans. This includes growing fruit and vegetables in walled gardens, providing a peaceful, unpressurised environment in which ex-Service men and women can participate as much or as little as they choose in the life cycle of the kitchen garden.
