For Veterans and families

At Combat Stress we know that serving your country can take its toll

So we're using our expertise of supporting Veterans suffering from mental ill health, to provide a 24-hour Helpline and a Community Outreach service to deliver support, advice and treatment where you are.

"The helpline provides a vital service at the loneliest and darkest time of the day"

The Combat Stress 24-hour Helpline is an advice line for the whole military community (serving personnel, and ex-Service men and women) and their families, seeking help and advice about Service-related mental health issues.

Community Outreach support

Combat Stress offers a Community Outreach Service to bring help to you.

Each team is made up of a Regional Welfare Officer, a Community Psychiatric Nurse, Mental Health Practitioner and a Desk Officer. Together they offer both practical and clinical support to Veterans and their immediate families, in their own homes.

To give you a better idea of their work, you may like to read more here about the experience of Robert Lappin – one of our Regional Welfare Officers.
