The Survivors for Peace programme
The programme is aimed at people in the United Kingdom who have been bereaved, injured, witnessed or themselves engaged in acts of politically motivated violence, such as "The Troubles", 9/11, 7/7, military campaigns and conflicts. It also includes people affected by prejudice and racism.
Under the umbrella of "Survivors for Peace", our activities engage people in making a contribution to peace building by turning a painful and challenging experience into a positive opportunity for development, leadership and inspiration for others.
Through the Survivors for Peace programme victims/survivors/combatans will have the potential to use their experience to help educate others about the consequences of violence.
Programme activities encompass: storytelling and dialogue; conflict resolution and peace building; advocacy and awaresness; and leadership development.
