 25th Anniversary Climb - November 2011

Ian and VickyIan and Vicky Tinsley thought a simple dinner wouldn't be enough to celebrate their 25th Wedding Anniversary, so decided to take on Mount Kilimanjaro instead. They started the final advance up the mountain on Remembrance Day but faced heavy snowfall and minus 12 degrees, despite this they both made it to 5200 meters but at which point altitude sickness got too much for Vicky. Ian continued on with his guide, Peter and made it to the highest point on the rim and Africa's highest point, Uhuru. So far Ian and Vicky have raised over £1100 for us, we would like to thank them for their hard work and impressive fundraising.
