Battle Proms: Summer 2010

Throughout the summer Combat Stress will be collecting at Battle Promsthe 6 Battle Prom concerts held at: Burghley House 10th July, Blenheim Palace 17th July, Hatfield House 24th July, Highclere Castle 31st July, Borde Hill 7th August and Althorp Park 14th August. E2 Entrepreneurs Exhibition - 16th until the 18th November

The Entrepreneurs Exhibition have generously chosen to support Combat Stress as one of the charity's to benefit from the profits at this years exhibition. E2 is one of the largest and most innovative events to be held during Global Entrepreneurship Week. The event will host a series of conferences and seminars such as Global Connections and Generation Inspiration. 15% Of Subscription Fees to Combat Stress - With Skilledexforces.com

Skilledexforces.com was created by Veterans, to give other Veterans support and ideas on setting up their own business and they have just launched a special membership area called 'Skilled Elite Club', where they are creating a database of self-employed veterans. Royal Parks Half Marathon - 10th October - 25 Runners now recruited - Thank you

We have 25 places available for this Year's Royal Parks Half Marathon. This exciting course of 13.1 miles takes you through four of London's parks and past The London Eye, Buckingham Palace and the Houses of Parliament to name but a few. The course is predominantly flat and is ideal for either experienced or first time half marathon runners. Walking the Essex Coast - 21st August to 29th August 

Emily Oliver  from the Mental Health Commissioning Team at Essex County Council is walking the Essex coastline from Manningtree to Maldon, completing the 133 miles in just 8 days. Half Ironman - June 2011

Daisy Rogers is participating in next year's Half Ironman on behalf of Combat Stress. This comprises of a 1.2 mile swim, a 56 mile bike ride and then a half marathon! In preparation for this challenge Daisy has completed a sprint marathon and a 400 metre swim already. Tony takes his very own Spartan tank to Veterans Days, fêtes and other events in the North West to raise funds for Combat Stress. 

Tony, who is ex-Coldstream Guards, says: 

"There is little awareness of the excellent work this charity does in helping former Service men and women whose lives have been affected by traumatic events.  Yet public fundraising is, sadly, essential.  So far, my display has met with approval from kids large and small!" Matt Reynolds - Tough Guy Challenge

Matt Reynolds an ex soilder with the US Army is aiming to fundraise for us throughout 2010, up until his main event the 'Tough Guy Challenge' in January 2011.  Tough Guy is on a specially created plot of 150 acres with over 100 obstacles to contend with. Kevin Shannon will be leaving his home in Mobberley, Cheshire, and embarking on a solo zero emmission expedition to circumnavigate the globe by bicycle and boat.
