Hollybush House at Hollybush by Ayr is a 25 bedroom home. An occupational therapy unit is also available here and there are four 2 bed units available, to allow patients to be accompanied by a carer.
Built in 1908 as the infirmary for the Newport Workhouse, it was subsequently developed as accommodation for elderly ladies until its closure in 1995. The home was purchased in 1996 and totally refurbished to provide 31 bedrooms, two of which can provide carer facilities. Set in three acres on the edge of Newport, it has easy access to all local facilities.
