Peer Support Service
To help former servicemen and women with mental health problems, we have a national Peer Support Service. Led by veterans for veterans, it’s a chance to talk and share experiences, receive support and socialise with others who have also served in the armed forces.
As the saying goes, it’s good to talk - meeting up with others in similar situations can really help. Former servicemen and women have the chance to come along to small group meetings or meet our peer support workers individually. Mental health problems can make even the simplest things seems hard to do, but this service is a way for veterans to easily access support and advice.
We’re really proud of this service – it’s the first UK-wide service of its kind for veterans with mental health problems to meet with those who’ve had similar experiences.
