On behalf of everyone at Combat Stress we would like to thank you for attending our Armistice Lecture last week. Rupert Wieloch gave a thought-provoking and insightful lecture and it was great to see so many of you there. We certainly enjoyed listening to him and we hope you did.
“Everyone who supports veterans' charities will be acutely aware not only of some of the challenges of care, but also the wider issues of human resilience. I know as we approach the Centenary of the Armistice many people’s thoughts turn to the symbolic poppy, but I hope that you will also remember the leading veterans' mental health charity, which is particularly busy in the run up to Christmas.”
At Combat Stress, we’re on a mission to raise awareness that invisible injuries can be just as hard to cope with as physical ones. We’re there to help veterans tackle the past and take on the future.
Events such as the Armistice Lecture raise vital funds to provide this much-needed help to former servicemen and women dealing with issues like anxiety, depression and post-traumatic stress disorder. We provide support to veterans from every service and every conflict.
Thank you again and we hope to see you at another event soon.
