Therapist to run the London Marathon

One of our Occupational Therapists will be running the London Marathon this year to raise money for Combat Stress.

Based at Tyrwhitt House, Lydia works with veterans to re-engage in roles, activities and other meaningful aspects of their lives such as work, hobbies and relationships.

Having been brought up in a military family, with both her parents serving in the Armed Forces, Lydia was inspired to run for the charity for both personal and professional reasons.

Lydia said “I’ve experienced the camaraderie and joys of military life, as well as the difficulties that it can bring. Having worked at Combat Stress for 18 months I’m aware of the outstanding support it provides to veterans.

"Running the London Marathon is a great way for me to give something back to both those I know personally within the military family and also the veterans I work with at Combat Stress.

"Raising funds and awareness for Combat Stress is vital to ensure we can continue to provide this life changing work"
