We’re incredibly grateful to The Rangers Charity Foundation, for announcing their donation of £15,000 to three military charities as part of its Armed Forces Fund Partnership for the 2022/23 season.

Each football season, their Armed Forces Fund supports different services-related charities and this time, the Foundation chose to support Combat Stress, SSAFA, and Poppyscotland with the donation.

To date, the Foundation has donated over £241,000 to Armed Forces and veterans’ charities, as well as providing significant in-kind support.

Foundation Chief Executive Connal Cochrane said: “We are proud to be able to make this donation to our armed forces charity partners and are very grateful to the Rangers Family who have supported our fundraising efforts to make this possible.

"As Gold Award holders in the MOD’s Employer Recognition Scheme and with a long history of support for our armed forces and veterans, it is very important to us to make a lasting difference via our Armed Forces Fund.

"We also continue our charitable work throughout the year supporting serving personnel and veterans in the community and with the Club, celebrating Armed Forces Day at Ibrox and marking Remembrance at a dedicated match.”

Robert Marsh, Director of Fundraising at Combat Stress, said: “I would like to thank the Rangers Charity Foundation for their very generous donation. This money will ensure we can continue to deliver our specialist treatment and support to thousands of former servicemen and women across the UK with complex mental health issues.”
